Student Handbook

    Behavior Expectations

We believe the following about our students:

    • Every child has the right to learn.
    • Every child has the responsibility to show safe and respectful behavior to adults and other students in the building.

    School-wide Expectations

    1. Respect yourself and others.
    2. Follow directions given by school personnel.
    3. Walk; save your running for the playground.
    4. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
    5. Use quiet voices inside the building.

We have the following safety rules for all students:

    • Students are to be Zone 1 (no talking) in hallways at all times.
    • Students are to walk in the “third tile” in the hallways (to help encourage hands away from the walls).

    Live Oak’s School Pledge

I believe in myself and my ability to do my best at all times.

I will act in such a way that I will be proud of myself and others will be proud of me too.

I will use this day wisely because this day will never come again.

If it is to be, it is up to me. I will let my light shine!
