Message from Principal

Welcome Live Oak Lions!

My name is Dr. Richardson and I feel honored to serve as the Principal for Live Oak Elementary home of the Lions. Twenty-four years ago, I joined other educators in the work of providing students with learning experiences that addressed the needs of the whole child. During this journey I have had the privilege of serving as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, instructional support specialist, assistant principal, Executive Director of STEM Programs and now Elementary principal. Each experience has brought about new learning and a continued desire to work closely with stakeholders to promote success for all students.

My philosophy of education is centered on four key ingredients that play an intricate role in excelling all students: a learning environment that promotes engagement and critical thinking, professional learning that invokes excellence in education, accountability for all stakeholders and welcomes parental involvement. It is my belief that each allows us to establish a community of learners, with the goal of promoting student achievement. It is my desire to foster an environment of success for all. Our theme for the year is "You're the Essential Piece to Live Oak Elementary School, Together We Make a Difference."

I look forward to our work together as we embark on a new and exciting year at Live Oak Elementary School.
